Aurora Garage Door Repair Solutions has been fixing garage doors for Aurora, Illinois homeowners since 2009, when local technician Ryan Delaney started the company out of a single service van. Ryan grew up in Aurora, spent years training as a technician for a regional door and hardware company, and built this business one referral at a time instead of through discount gimmicks. Seventeen years later, the same approach still guides every job we run out of our home base at 254 S Highland Ave: diagnose the real problem, explain it honestly, and fix it correctly the first time.
Illinois weather is hard on garage doors, and Aurora is no exception. When winter lows drop into the teens, torsion springs contract and lose tension, which is why so many homeowners hear a loud bang and find a snapped spring on the coldest mornings of the year. Freeze-thaw cycles can shift a concrete slab enough to throw tracks out of alignment, nylon rollers turn brittle in the cold, and thickened opener lubricant makes a motor strain to lift a door that used to glide open. We see these patterns every winter across Aurora and the surrounding Fox Valley, and recognizing them quickly is most of the job.
From routine noisy-door tune-ups to full off-track emergencies, every call gets the same insured, background-checked technician and upfront pricing, no matter which Aurora neighborhood or nearby Fox Valley suburb you call home.
From broken springs to full installations, our Aurora technicians handle repair, replacement, and maintenance for residential and commercial garage doors.

Ryan Delaney started Aurora Garage Door Repair Solutions in 2009 after helping a neighbor whose torsion spring snapped and nearly caused a serious injury. That afternoon changed how he thought about the trade — springs and cables aren't a job to rush, they're a job to get right. He'd already spent years working as a technician for a regional door and hardware company, and he took that experience and built a business around straight answers instead of upselling.
Ryan still lives in Aurora with his family, still coaches youth baseball in the spring, and still answers the phone himself more often than you'd expect from a company that's been around for 17 years. Read more about how a single service van turned into Aurora's trusted local garage door team.

Cost depends on what's actually wrong — a worn roller costs far less to fix than a broken torsion spring or a damaged panel, and the size, age, and condition of your door all factor in too. We provide a free, upfront quote after inspecting the door in person, so you know the price before any work begins and there are no surprise charges afterward.
We don't recommend it. Torsion springs are wound under extreme tension, which is why DASMA maintains cycle-life standards for how they're rated and installed — a spring that lets go while someone is adjusting it can cause serious injury. Extension springs carry similar risk without a proper safety containment cable in place. It's one of the few garage door repairs we consistently tell homeowners to leave to a trained technician.
Most common repairs — springs, cables, rollers, openers, off-track doors — are completed in a single visit, often within an hour or two once the technician arrives. More involved jobs, like a full panel or door replacement, can take longer, and we'll give you a realistic time estimate before starting.
Yes. A torsion spring under tension can cause serious injury if it breaks or is handled incorrectly, which is part of why this company exists in the first place — Ryan Delaney started it after seeing a neighbor's spring failure up close. If your spring has snapped, keep the door closed and avoid using the opener until a technician inspects it.
Same-day appointments are available in most cases, especially for calls that come in earlier in the day. If your door won't close or is stuck open after hours, leave us a message — we return after-hours calls first thing the next business morning to get you scheduled.
